They hosted a conference call at the White House with executives from major and regional banks to discuss initiatives to provide relief to small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The clip only features President Trump's announcement.
The entire 49-minute video shows executives talking about their efforts to lend money to small businesses in order to maintain payroll and other business operations. Secretary Mnuchin stated that he has been working with congressional leaders to secure an additional $250 billion to replenish the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program, which was created as part of the CARES Act relief legislation and has been facilitating the loan applications.
