In a discussion with my parents on New Year’s Day, they encouraged me to continue participating in weaponry competitions. I was born, raised, and formally educated in a major metropolitan city, which is a founding city in our national U.S. republic. Despite, being, “city folk,” I learned how to shoot guns and apply other self-protection strategies. Those trainings were as natural as air since our Father is a U.S. military combat veteran. Our Mother’s “family-first,” peace-and-education approach leveled out the trainings. In my time on earth, I have come to find that some prefer to hear a harsh word as a response instead of, “Please forgive me. I made a mistake.” Some prefer the cold shoulder of silence instead of receiving an actual ye or nay response. Others still prefer that I draw my gun weapon instead of yielding to Christ’s principles. People are not really afraid of my gun(s). If I shoot a gun, people are confident that law enforcement and the justice system would reprimand me. If I shoot a gun, their flesh may tear but they are confident that surgeons, or video influences, can help to heal them. However, people are afraid of the unseen hand of Yah. They are afraid of His power exhibited through His children. Bible scriptures share the awesomeness of our Lord. These scriptures below give you insight into His strength, His ways, and His love for you:
