Christmas is over but what are you going to do with the extra gift wrapping paper and the reusable gift bags? Quick! Find gifts to give to others before New Year's Eve. Many of us have the fortune of exchanging gifts and sharing love throughout the Christmas Season. Extra gift tissue paper and wrapping paper are the norm and so is having a special storage place for it. However, this year, and just about every other year, the special gift wrapping place is overflowing. So before you recycle or trash those gift bags, consider using them to share with the forgotten. (1) Homeless people usually need socks, hats, gloves, pillows, and blankets at this time of year. Those Christmas bags are perfect. The Homeless tend to congregate near the towns square in your city or near public facilities like the library. (2) People in Nursing Homes also benefit from socks, books, magazines, puzzles, puzzle books, indoor hats, and slippers. COVID protocols may prevent you from going into the nursing home. However, to be sure, call ahead to speak with the Nursing Home Administrator before you drop the gifts off. (3) Sanitation Personnel, City Workers, Veterinarians, SPCA, Librarians, Landscapers, and Apartment Janitors may have been overlooked during the holidays. Your Christmas bags may be the highlight of their season. #WhatToDoWithWrappingPaper Remember to smile and hum as you are packing those gifts! Syreeta |
